Doodles for Dinners
In light of the SNAP issue affecting food access for families across the country in November 2025, I decided to raise money for my local food pantry (Rockland Emergency Food Pantry) by selling line art portraits until the deadline of Friday, November 7, 2025.
Over the course of the two weeks I ran this campaign, we raised $1000 for the pantry and got to draw all sorts of people and pets. And YES – I mean really draw – no AI slop or frankendoodles here.
The way it worked was that folks would donate to me via Venmo (to then donate on their behalf to the Rockland Emergency Food Pantry) or make a direct donation and send me a copy of the receipt along with a photo they’d like a line art drawing of. The suggested donation was between $11 and $33 or more! Many people used this as a way to have an art print or gift for someone for Christmas.
Jackson Blue from South Shore Stuff even got in on the fun and came to do an interview. It was so cool to meet him!
I’m excited to share the gallery below and hopefully launch this initiative next year!
